On June 5th 2023, the Open Day of the MaMLise project in Germany took place at the University of Paderborn (3-7 p.m.).
The Open Day started with an introduction of the project and its main aims, presented by Sandra Ballweg.
The group then separated and proceeded with various workshops. During the first slot, workshops 5 and 7 of the MaMLise project were offered. After the short break, there were presentations on refugee children in schools, the project “Rucksack Schule” that aims to include more languages in primary school teaching, as well as a presentation of the new curricula in schools of the region. Apart from the trainers, there were also representatives of several German publishing houses that presented and introduced their materials to the participants. In addition, one of the teachers gave a short presentation on their own language sensitive teaching project at a primary school.
